Halloween Havoc 2025 Men's Rules

Tournament Rules 2025

• No New Inning After 50 Minutes. Finish the inning and play 1 more.
• 4 Home Runs per game (unless you are playing AST – Senior 50’s team – see special rules below); all others are OUTS!
• 2 courtesy runners per inning plus pitcher is Optional
• NO STEALING (will do this for The End)
• Not making anyone run the bases backward or bat opposite handed
• Inning #2, each team will start with the last recorded out on 2nd base(ITB)
• Inning #3, each team will bat entirely through their lineup(max 10 players).  All runs will count.  Idea is to score as many runs with those 10 players as possible(unless you play AST, rules are below).
• Innings #4 through the end is normal softball
• Any foul ball hit out of play(outside the fenced area) that is caught by anyone outside the fenced area shall be deemed an out(Banana Ball rule).  This is an ALL DAY rule.

Bracket Play:

• No New Inning After 70 minutes
• Upper will gain a Home Run(5) PLUS a DHH; all others OUTS; Lower bracket will maintain  the 4 HR’s plus a DHH
• All other rules from Pool Play Stay intact

Special Rules for Playing the Men’s 50’s team(AST):

• Time limit in bracket play will be No New Inning after 60, finish that inning and play 1 more.
• Each team will be limited to 7 runs per inning.  We will use the senior rule for time limit then play one more.  Once time expires, we will have an “Open” inning where each team can score more than the 7 runs and is treated like “young man” ball.
• Each team will be allotted 8 Home Runs in Pool Play and add the DHH for bracket play
• AST is a 50’s team and will be allowed to swing their Senior Division bats.  All other teams must use their 240 bats.
• We will use the “safety” plate, along with the commitment line, which means if you cross that line in a rundown you must continue to home plate.  No tags allowed at Home Plate.  Must treat like a force play and step on home plate.
• Pitching height playing against the Senior team is 6’-10’ and there is no juking or pump faking allowed.
• The tournament director reserves the right to add any dumb rule he feels like at the start of each round.
