GSL State Tournament Rules
Good afternoon,
Several requests for the rules tomorrow. ALL GSL book rules will apply. The only exception to the book rules is there will be a courtesy runner for the pitcher, which will be optional tomorrow. Here are the home run rules by class:
Men's C:
5HR's + DHH - all other home runs will be an out
Men's D:
3HR's + DHH - all other home runs are an IEO
Men's E:
1 HR + DHH - all other home runs are an IEO
Men's Rec:
1HR + DHH - all other home runs are an IEO
Bats:
?No 220 bats are allowed in tournament play. All bats must have the new 240 "S" stamp on them. If any batter is protested after hitting with an illegal bat, the result will be an out and an ejection for that game. Everyone please remain aware what you are swinging.
No player may use a bat that has not been tested and stickered. Result of using a bat not stickered will be an ejection.
There are no time limits tomorrow. However, the umpires will be prodding some hustle in and out. THere will be a 90 second rule for changing sides. This is similar to the "slow play" rule the PGA Tour has in place.
As usual, please take care of your umpire payments prior to the game.
As a game gets closer to the end, we will do our best to be close to the field and do the coin toss prior to the end of the previous game.
Please be prepared to play 30 minutes prior to the scheduled time.
